Here I am, a chapter can now be closed. I finished my sketchbook for the Art House co-op Sketchbook Project 2011, I’ll send it back today to New York City. And I am on time !

And for the video I made while creating the sketchbook cover, it’s just there.

During two weeks, I was sleeping, eating, thinking every free minute of the day about the Sketchbook. I want to apologize to my twitter friends for having filled my twitter feed with so much sketchbook related stuff. I am over the moon to be done, to send it on time. I am unfortunately not one of those that work so well under the pressure of a deadline coming to an end.

As promised, here is a little final video:

I can’t wait to go to the exhibit stop in Seattle, see what the others have done.
Did you know that we are nearly 29,000 participants, from 94 different countries around the World ? I can’t even imagine how it is to organize all of this.

It was a rich experience for me, but I’m not sure I’ll do it again (but I learned to never say “never” !).

I am a perfectionnist and for some points I am kind of ashamed to send it back as it is. But I keep telling myself  “it’s a sketchbook, just a sketchbook.“. I put my heart and soul in these few pages. I wish I’d have done more (more pages, more elaborate), but I didn’t and I have now to accept it. I hope people will enjoy it that way… It seems SO different from what I saw on the website, I am a little scared.

Now, my mind is on all the other projects I want to accomplish 😉

I am still not used to write “2011” instead of “2010”; are you ?

I really hope that 2011 will bring more people into this ritual of Gratitude Friday (don’t hesitate to tell your friends, your family, your co-workers, your neighbors about it !) because I know for sure that it is a wonderful and powerful tool for those who want a positive change in their life.

This week, there is plenty of things I am grateful for, here are a few:

The school started again after two weeks of vacations. As long as we love being the 4 of us together, especially that my husband had some vacations too, school is always welcome. They love their school (Grenouille is now in kindergarten and Koala in preschool).

Thank you to my dear Husband who created this new design for the blog. i love it love it love it !

Thank you for my friend Anu who is taking big steps in her life right now.

I’m thankful for the heartfelt conversation with my friend Kira on MSN. She updated her ETSY shop yesterday with a load of goodies. You should check it out, it’s there: Journal Girl shoppe.

Thank you Sophie for the email you wrote me. I love you.

Thank you for the opportunity to show my artwork in a shop, for real.

Hello Beauties of the World !

How is 2011 so far for you ? Here it’s very cold but so sunny, i want to think it’s a preview of what our year will be. The vacations are coming to an end as my husband went back to work today, and the girls are coming back to school tomorrow (and trust me, they’re A LOT excited about it).

I do not really make new year resolutions anymore. I found out that it puts too much pressure for me, like “I HAVE TO make it happen”. No I don’t, it’s better if I do for sure, but if it doesn’t happen it’s okay. No more “i didn’t achieve my resolutions” at the end of the year, it’s a huge relief trust me.

Instead, I set some Intentions for the new year. It’s slightly different.

I know some people don’t get the “Word of the year”, and I totally understand. For me, since I discovered it, it helped to focus. Like a little red thread to grip during the year when I feel I’m getting lost.
At first, I was going with THRIVE. Because I want 2011 to be a life-changing year, one of these years you’ll remember for ever for having taken HUGE steps forwards, for changing positively.
Then I thought of WOW but while thinking of it, it corresponds better to 2010 for me. So i put it aside with a smile on my face.
And yesterday night, as I was about to go to sleep, I finally signed up for DEEP (the next step after Connie’s BIG and The Tribe, that begins today. We’re about to dig deeper and deeper, wow !). And it striked me right in the face: DEEP is my word for 2011 along with THRIVE.

In 2011, I’ll THRIVE DEEP.
As soon as I’m done with the Sketchbook Project, I’ll create something as a reminder of this Intention.

My intentions for 2011 are (in no specific order):

• Make more videos, art related to share on Inner-Voices and personal ones to share with family & friends.
• Buy a home for my family (we have precise desires about it); which implies earning more money.
• Finish writing and editing my book.
• Spread the word about Gratitude Friday even more, I really wish I could reach hundreds of people with it, all around the World.
• Get my art published somewhere.
• Continue healing via Art Journaling, share more my process and what I create. Dig deeper.
• Learn Reiki and begin my Healing “me” for real.

As you see, there are big intentions, and smaller ones. I know some will require a constent attention, and a big work with my husband. We decided that from now on, we’ll both wishcast and manifest, not only me. I’m so happy he’s the one sharing my life.
