Hello beautiful Beans !

I am on the Wonderstrumpet blog again today with a new creative project.

I hope you will enjoy watching me create an art journal page from start to finish. It will probably won’t make sense to you but as you know, art journaling is a very subjective practice. I thought it would be good to share with you a page done for me without overthinking it (“will it make sense to my audience ?” is a question I usually ask myself over and over).

Sarah’s stencils are full of amazing symbols that can be used in so many different ways and interpretations.

Supplies

I am so happy about how this project turned out. I tend to buy things on a whim (working on that bad habit) and this is how I ended with this papier mâché box unused for years… Yes: years !

I integrate personal symbols in all of my art. But most of the time, I hide them in plain sight because they have meaning for me (and the meaning can be different for the person looking at it). I don’t like explaining what I do, to be quite honest with you… But for this specific project, I jumped and decided not to hide my symbols but to make them the focal point. Sarah’s stencils are simply amazing. The right amount of quirk with a top notch quality. I also used ColourArte products because they are my favorite.

Hey lovely Beans !

Today, I am sharing an amazing news with you: I was accepted to be a member of Sarah Trumpp first Design Team. Sarah owns a beautiful Etsy shop in which she sells the stencils she designs.

If you know a bit about me you know I consider myself very quirky, never really fitting in any box (either in life or in art). I am nerdy, I love books, I love esoteric symbols, and could totally be Tim Burton’s spiritual daughter…

My teammates are all weirdos in their own way and I know in my guts that you will be showered with amazing and different projects from us because we need to embrace who we are more, no matter who we are.

What to expect ?

I will obviously be making video projects using the stencils.  So many ideas are swirling in my mind right now. I can’t wait to start creating with them. I will publish twice a month.

I don’t know a lot of my fellow DT members, but they are all amazing !
