On Valentine’s day was the first edition of Connie‘s Art Journal Love Day.

This is a HUGE party celebrating our love for our Art Journal.

I have been art journaling for 2 years 1/2 now. Only. Like it’s been forever, like a part of me I cant get rid of.

My art journal and I are in love, he forgives me the long time no see and greets me with open arms everytime I come back to him, with a smile and a ” I missed you dear !”.

I really really like how it turned how. I love using india ink and my nib pen; it reminds me the long pages I used to write with one when I was a kid (and my hand full of ink that wouldn’t go away).
This is a continuation of what I was talking about in my last blogpost, that it finally all begins with self-love.

I tried to do a brown-skin girl, and the result is not good. There is copic markers (that do not like my journal paper at all as blending was just impossible to achieve), fluid acrylic and panpastels just for the face :s. Next time, I will try with my NeoColors II, may be easier.
I like her anyway !

It is a huge breakthrough for me… it all begins with self-love.

Hello my Beauties !

I hope you’re not too hangover and that you enjoyed celebrating the beginning of 2011.

I wanted to do it for months, now was the perfect day to create and share it: Inner Voices has a new design (thank you SO much to my dear husband).

I fill my mind with hopes for this new year. Things I want to accomplish. My major goal is to improve my art, to stop constraining my creativity (and so to expend it even further), to sell my artwork, to finish the creation process of my book. And to learn Reiki. And to spread the word about Gratitude Friday, because it’s a ritual that is life-changing. And 2011 is the year of change, in my opinion.
Big Big Big dreams are in my hearts and I really want to make them true this year. I have 12 months to do it, so better get started, don’t you think ?

I think I’ll also buy Goddess Leonie’s “2011: Creating My Goddess Year workbook & planner”. Leonie has this big wish of reaching 2000 goddesses with it, seems huge but I’m sure it’s do-able. I know some of you already purchased it via me, which makes me extra happy. And what I also love is that for this specific product, Leonie is offering different packages: one for you, a pack of two, and the option to buy one for a friend (a voucher your friend will use). I really would love to help her reach her goal, don’t you ? And this is an amazing tool to organize your year and help you make your dreams come true.

Hello !

I know it’s Monday today, but I was not home on Friday but really want to share this post with you all. I hope that if you wrote on your blog a Gratitude Friday, you’d share your link at the end of this so I’ll be able to read and support you.

How was your week ? Are you facing some blocks on your Gratitude road ?

My week was really great. I enjoyed it a lot, despite the fact I was not as productive as I should have been. I focused on having fun. Just to have fun, no pressure.

I am thankful for the 2day trip we had in Seattle. We made a big surprise to our daughters: we went to the Harry Potter’s exhibition. They are both HUGE fans of the movies, the characters, everything related to Harry Potter. It’s because of Harry Potter that my now 5 years old wanted to learn how to read so she’ll be able to read the books by herself, she was 3 1/2 (!!!). They were over the moon, and so are we. We stayed in a great hotel near Seattle, were we meet a family that 1)speaks french 2)lives not far from us in Canada. Weird uh ? I love this kind of coincidence !

I am thankful for the nice people working at Blick in Seattle. They are very helpful and patient. I love going there. If only there were a Blick here *sigh*.

Thank you for the spot I won via Leah at Creative everyday in Mindy’s (from In the wish studio) for her online class “THIS moment“. I was eyeing it.

I’m in love with Laura Izibor‘s sweet and spicy voice. I discovered her in One Tree Hill (yes, I watch this tv show since the first season, not ashamed at all). I’m always thankful for the music that fills my days (and my nights).

My heart is full.

I’m so sorry to write only now, but I kind of needed a blogging/painting break. Not in the mood. But i managed to start a few more paintings, I’ll talk about it soon, don’t worry.

And I realized that I made a mistake when I first draw the winner (I didn’t count the correct amount of participants) so I’ll see with Jo Anna to figure out something.

Jo Anna Rothman is one of these chicas I can call “friend” even if we never met yet. She is an amazing healer, she is also an intuitive counselor & guide.

I met her I don’t remember where (I think it’s via Twitter, when I saw a retweet of her by someone I am following, and won a reading with her) but it was through her AMAZING project called The Receiving Project. It is totally free, it’s a 32day project during which you commit to focus on what you are receiving. Seems weird ? Here is what Jo Anna explains about it:

”The Receiving Project is 32 day process designed to explore and enhance your ability to receive the multitude of gifts that life has to offer.
[…] Something amazing happens when people set the intention to receive gifts from The Universe.  They become open to the magnificent presents that are all around them, everyday.  They get into a groove where goodness flows. And most of all they have fun.
All you do is set the intention to receive a gift from the universe every day for 32 days. These gifts can come in any and every form. If you feel like it’s a gift that you were able to receive, then it counts.

I participated in the project and it simply changed my life. It totally goes along my ritual Gratitude Friday, to focus on all the positive happening in my life instead of what the rocks on the road are.

Once you pay attention to the gifts you receive everyday (yes: every single day), you realize how full your life is. Of course, sometimes you wonder “is it real ?” and my answer is simple and quick: yes.

We tend to link “gift” with a physical thing someone offers to us. But it’s not that narrowed. The inspiration you were waiting for is a gift, the sun on your face despite the fact the forecast’s announcement of pouring rain is a gift, a dream telling you the message you needed to hear is a gift and so on.

The magic in the Receiving Project is that it opens you to receiving uncounsciously because you know you don’t “ask too much” and that you deserve all of this.
32 days is perfect: neither too long nor too short (but I miss weekly emails by Jo Anna though).

She also runs a Healing Circle every month in the San Fernando Valley area (California) and one-on-one session as well.
