Right at the good time for me, Jamie asks us what do you wish to focus on ?

This past week was full of breakthroughs for me. Hard and softer ones.
I belong to a wonderful BIG tribe. Connie, from DirtyFootprints-studio, has gathered us around her for becoming BIG and Fearless painters.

Today, I can say less shamely that I AM AN ARTIST. Not because I paint, but because we create everyday, even when we don’t see it.

And I have great things to share with the World. But for this, I need to really become fearless, to trust myself, and to go ahead. If people are receptive and like it: good! If not, well, at least I would have tried 🙂

So I wish to focus on my Truth, and on sharing it with the World.

I need to focus on getting things done every.single.day.
Setting goals (big and small, long and short terms).
And not being distracted by my Gremlins that keep whispering me “people do better than you. why will they care about what you want them to see ? you’re not BIG enough…………….”

During the last five weeks, my Mum was with us on vacations from France, here in Vancouver. She left yesterday…

My mum is a woman who always was very creative and has this capacity to create something wonderful from scratch. It was good to be reminded how a creative child I was, I tend to forget this point. And how I love making things with her.

We went to Centennial Beach with two friends on a windy week-end day for celebrating our first barbecue of the season (and we had plenty more since !), and we took this chance to grab some goodies Mother Natures left for us on our way: driftwood, beautiful seashells, pine cones etc.

One drifwood piece caught my eye and look what we immediatly saw in it: a DRAGON ! It was obvious to us that this piece of wood was a pure treasure we had to transform 😉

Creativity really can be EVERYWHERE ! and is not only about painting 😉

Gratitude Friday is a weekly ritual I started in order to focus on all the small and big positive things that happened during my week. I invite you to join me, you’ll see how much being thankful can change your life. If you want to know more about it, read my introduction post.

I can’t believe it’s already a new week-end. Summer flies by, this year !

But here in Vancouver, we impatiently waited for summertime to kick. It finally arrived !

So this week, I am thankful for the heat I can finally feel on my skin, and allows me to wear lighter clothes.

Thank you very very much for the wonderful evening we had at the pool, and then at the japanese All You Can Eat we used to eat often last year.

Thank you because we love barbecueing, whereas it’s for lunch or for dinner.

I love seing people shine because it’s sunny and warm outside (and even if I live not that far from Forks, I know they are not vampires… kidding ! ;))

I am CRAZY ! I don’t know what emotion takes over the most: fear (of not doing in on time, of not being worthy, of wasting money and time…) or excitement (it’s a huge project !) ?!

What it is about:
Art House co-op organizes this International project.

• You chose one of the several themes available (I had a hard time deciding but went for “Figuring You Out“). You can do what you want but it’s the red string in your sketchbook. You can decorate the cover, and everything you want as long as you don’t change the size for something too big, and you don’t use a lot of glitters. I love the fact that the themes can be interpreted in such a lot of ways, but it scares me as well.
• You chose the kind of Moleskine you want
• You have two more options available (for an extended cost): digitalize => they will digitalize your sketchbook for you so it will also be available online, I chose this option; you can decide after but it will cost twice the price; add a poster.

You check it out, enter your information and it’s done ! You receive an email of confirmation and then you’ll receive an email notification when your sketchbook has been sent. And voilà !

You have until January 15th 2011 to send your sketchbook back. Then, it will be part of this huuuuuuuuuge project, will tour the US and be part of the exhibition in Brooklyn where people will be able to see it, touch it etc.

What I like is that you have the possibility to know exactly where your sketchbook is, how many people touched it etc. Love love love !

PS: i can’t believe it !! my sketchbook has already been sent to me ! I’ll get it in about two weeks from now 😀

Today, Jamie‘s asking us What do you wish for your relationships?

I was one of the several “students” attending Kelly Rae Roberts first ever online class called Flying Lessons.

It was a growing five-week experience that I didn’t go through entirely now. It will take me some time to digest, and to apply all the informations learnt during this class.

But one thing I really realized during these weeks is the importance of the Tribe. Connecting with people having the same goals, the same dreams, even if it’s not exactly 100% the same.

I wish for my relationships to be trustful, sincere and win-win.
I want to help people grow as much (or mooore) as they have a place in my own evolution. We are all here for a reason and nothing happens just by coincidence, the good and the bad; everything is there to help us go on on our path.

I wish to be surrounded by people who believe in me, in my dreams, who cheers me up when doubts feel my Soul. I want to be there for people who need what I know by experience. I wish to grow stronger friendships. But I don’t want to be in the waiting of something regarding the relationships I have.
I just trust. And everything will fall into place when the time will be right for it.
