Hello beautiful Beans !

I am on the Wonderstrumpet blog again today with a new creative project.

I hope you will enjoy watching me create an art journal page from start to finish. It will probably won’t make sense to you but as you know, art journaling is a very subjective practice. I thought it would be good to share with you a page done for me without overthinking it (“will it make sense to my audience ?” is a question I usually ask myself over and over).

Sarah’s stencils are full of amazing symbols that can be used in so many different ways and interpretations.

Happy Monday !

It’s been forever since I shared with you a new Nixie. Not a lot of them are emerging so when they do, they feel extra special to me. I decided to paint for fun. To create what I need to figure out. This is how Glawdys came to be.

I started playing on the INSERT SIZE canvas board with stencils and sprays and went from there. You know that I never plan but I listen very closely to everything I create (do I sound crazy yet ?).

I let the symbols and colors make me feel something. And from the feeling Glawdys emerged and told me her story. This is a very personal Nixie as she was made with my two daughters at heart.

She’s looking for a new home

I charge every painting with some crystals and some Reiki. A lot of love and care goes into packing her up so she can arrive safely to her new home.

For this new video project, I decided to paint what I needed: a reminder of sorts. You know by now that I love adding symbols to my art. For you who look at it, as well as for me.

Stencils can truly be very versatile ! I love stamping with mine, for example. And you can be bold or subtle with them. That’s what I wanted to share with you in one project.
