Yesterday (Monday November 2nd 2009), the Moon was absolutely fabulous, round and clearly visible in the sky.
She came just after Samhain, which I was really glad.

Because I am running out of images (I don’t have any magazines left, I should ask my family to send me some from France but the shipping charges are expensive), I had to think out of the box. So for this cycle, it’s not a WishBoard as usual, made of collages torn out of magazines/newspapers.

Last month, I was not fully satisfied of my WishBoard, so I started a painting to complete it. But for no appearent reason, I didn’t finish it. That is what I used yesterday as a base.

I painted a background with acrylic, and used acrylic ink to build a tree. I simply blow it until it pleased me.

I found some powerful words (for me), and glued them on the branches of my Wish Tree. I also made bubbles with other words and a single image.

I used several material (glimmer mist, radiant rain dubber from Luminarte, glitters, magic mesh…) until I was entirely satisfied.

I really really like it 🙂

This morning (we are Tuesday), I smiled when I saw what Leah created for the Full Frost Moon. Look at this: Leah’s Full Frost Moon. What a coincidence !

On this October 31st, Halloween is celebrated all around the world; but a lot of Pagans celebrate Samhain.

It is time for harvesting what you built during this year, to bury all the negative things that happened and to start over.

Samhain is my favourite time of the year ever ! I am really excited and this year, I feel its energy for weeks before.

My whole family is excited too because it’s the first time our Trollettes will really celebrate Halloween (and Samhain too), we’ll get dressed, will treat or trick, we will cook (some yummy magical meal) and prepare the night.

It said that Samhain is the night were the veil between our World and the World of Dead is the thinner, that is why we scare bad spirits with carved pumpkins and why we lighten outside to guide those who passed away.
It is also a perfect night for divination 😉

This year, it boosted my creativity and Deirdre (that you can see here) decided to come 🙂 (Yes, her name was inspired by the witches saga written by Anne Rice, which I am currently re-reading. I LOVE it, really ! And because I read it long ago, it’s like it is the first time !).
This artwork is not perfect, but I like it the way it is, i don’t create perfect things, by the way.

If you like rituals, here is one I do every year:
I write down the bad events that happened during the year that is ending, and the bad feelings I felt the most on pieces of paper. I fold them and burn them (don’t forget to put them in a fireproof container). While it is burning, visualize all this going away with the smoke and simply disappear. Aand you’ll notice later on that all the negativity linked to what you wrote is gone 🙂 Magic !
If you fear fire, which I can totally understand, you can use something else that is symbolic for you: burry it near a tree, simply flush it in the toilets… be creative and do what you feel inspired to do.

This week, I am thankful for:

➮ Having shared the wonderful Alchemy of Manifestation workshop with beautiful people, especially my friend Elodie, who told me about it. Can’t wait to attend the second level in next spring. So much to experience before that, though.
➮ The unconditional love my Mamounette (my mum) gives me, no matter what choice I make.
➮ The fun I have with my daughters, dancing crazily on old songs they don’t know about, but that my Husband and I loved when we were both younger (and didn’t know each other yet).
➮ The cold dry weather in Vancouver and the beautiful colours I see outside everyday. I can’t help myself but looking up and watch these puffy clouds in the sky, and the contrast between the bright orange of the fall trees and the blue of the sky.
➮ Despite the geographic distance, I feel the friendship of amazing women (they’ll recognize who they are). I feel it in my heart and it makes life better.
➮ I’m grateful for having the possibility to stay at home, to take care of my daughters everyday, and to create when I want to. I’m grateful to have the chance to make what I want my life to be.

The weeks flow by sooooo quickly !

It is Wednesday, and today thanks to Jamie we focus on the big or small treat we wish for, more or less secretly.

Today, I’ll wish BIG, very very big…

We are here in Vancouver for amost a year now, without having the possibility, my lovely husband and I, to have time only for our couple. It is something I miss, really. We don’t currently have extra money for a trip, so I really wish this will manifest.

So…. I wish for two days or a little bit more, alone with him. We plan to go to Maui next year, when my mum we’ll visit us for the first time (she will stay five weeks), to celebrate my 25th birthday and our 5th wedding anniversary at the same time…

I wish for a wonderful couple retreat with my Husband, the thing that will fill our heart with Love, and Bliss and all positive feeling we can carry together, to love our daughters more and more when we’ll be back.

It can be in Maui, or somewhere else. No matter where, i just want to see something new with him, so I am opened to what the Universe as in store for us 😉

I woke up Monday morning with a strange idea: why not share with others my Gratitude ?

Many people were aware of the importance of being grateful thanks to The Secret (the book as well as the movie), but now matter how the eyes got opened.

For a few months now, my two daughters and I (it’s harder for my husband) have a little ritual: every day, during dinner or before they go to sleep, each of us list at least three things she liked during the day. From the simpler fact (eating a candy, for example) to something mor “exceptional”, we learn together to appreciate what we have, what we live, what we share. And even if they’re only 4 and 2 1/2 years old, they wait for this moment with impatience, and it’s not rare that they come out from their bedroom, saying “Moooom we forgot to share what we liked today ! So, today, I liked……….; and you, what did you like ?”, and it’s very fun.

I am sure I am not the only one to keep a Gratitude Journal. It is such a good way to remember, later on. It can be only a list, or more elaborate. It’s up to you. And if you forget to do it one day, or more, don’t blame yourself. Don’t be too harsh.

Here is a little dictionary definition of what is being grateful: warmly or deeply appreciative of kindness or benefits received; thankful (source: dictionary.com).

So if it sounds good to you, feel free to share with us, every friday, what you have been grateful for during the week. You can blog about it if you want, and put the link to your post in a widget i’ll insert, so we can have a circle of grateful people we can support 🙂 If you don’t have a blog, we’ll share by comment too.
