At the beginning of the week, my husband (who I refer to as “Cheridoo”) and I celebrated our 7th dating anniversary. I can’t believe it’s already but only been seven years together. It paradoxically feels like yesterday but an eternity too. Do you know this feeling ?

I had a precise idea in mind, but Life got crazy and I didn’t manage to save the time I needed to complete my project, so at the last minute I created something totally different (I save my first idea for another occasion ;-)).

You have to know that I.AM.NOT.A.SCRAPBOOKER. I sometimes wish I would be, but I am not and deal with it.

Yes, it is quite simple but I love it all the same and apparently so does Cheridoo, so this is all that matters to me.

I played on a loose canvas sheet from a canvas pad I had, with fluid acrylic paint, Lindy Stamp Gang‘s beautiful sprays, a printed translucent velum paper and Tchoo my sewing machine.
I enjoyed every step of the creating process, from the sparkle of idea to the moment I actually gave it to my lover. I created it with the intention of showing him how much I love him and how important he is to me. What we share together is a precious gift, and we never doubted our feelings for each other for one second during these 7 years, this is a true blessing.

Hello my Beautiful friends !

How was your week ? I hope it’s not too crazy, with Christmas nearly around the corner, just two weeks from now.

This week, I am more than grateful for the two huge packages we receive from my family-in-law, filles with clothes for my girls, and food we don’t find here in Canada (not forgetting a few gifts to put under the tree, sssshhh).

Thank you also for my BFF Paola for the joy brought to us via her package. I am sent back to childhood and teenagehood via the diary she offered me, one with two little keys like when I was little. The illustration suits me very well, this girl holding this HUGE key in her arms, and the witch broom on the back… perfect ! My girls are over the moon with the story album and what went with it. Grenouille is already planning the exercices to do 😉 She reads faster and faster everyday, it amazes me.

Thank you for my Mamounette (my mom), just because.

I am thankful for Koala’s preschool, they organized a trip to a show this week and apparently it was awesome. My little was with one of her friend and her mom, who she loves.

Thank you so much for the rain that doesn’t pour over us 24/7, which would depress me; even if it’s the season, I know

I am grateful for all these lovely people who share their ideas and creations in this festive time of the year. My brain will explode with all these things i wish to explore. Days are too short and Christmas is just too close.

I am blessed with a nearly perfect husband, he is the best for me and I am lucky to share my life with him for nearly (in three days) seven years.

Thank you to my Circe’s Cirlce Sisters, with who I had our last call yesterday. We share this special bond that was created during ten weeks together.

Thank you a lot to Anu for her suggestion of creating a calendar with my artwork. I created it this week, it is simple but powerful (in my opinion). I filled it with positive artwork, so you’ll have a reminder of your true Beauty every month of the year. You can see and buy it here: “You Are…” calendrier 2011 I hope you’ll like it !

I hope you are doing great despite the fact that sometimes, the last two months of the year are harsh. It’s time to dream of 2011 and what we want it to be, how exciting !!

On this Wednesday, Jamie asks us What do you wish to transform ?

Transformation does not have to be painful, but it often is. I wonder why. Is it to be sure we don’t miss the change ? To make sure we remember what we were before ?

When I think of transformation, I see a butterfly. Not very imaginative, I know.

I wish to transform difinately my bad thoughts and shift them to become good thoughts.. These thoughts are less and less present in my life, but they still come from time to time. I acknowledge them, but I see myself as the duck who does not feel the water he is in deep in his body because of this natural protection he has under his feathers. I want this shield to be natural.

I wish to transform my body too, to reflect who I am inside instead of what time and stuff did to it (I’m only 25 gosh !!!!). And it currently just seems impossible. It’s a sensible matter in my life, my body.

The transformation started about ten years ago when I became interested in Magic, and in Spirituality. It’s a lifetime process. Life is hard but it is definately worth it. If I was able to shift from who I was to who I am know and who I know I will be in the future, you can do it too, trust me. Everything is possible.

I love Donna Downey‘s work. I wait for Wednesdays for two reasons: Jamie Ridler’s wishcasting prompt, and Donna Downey’s Inspiration Wednesday art journaling video.

In her shop, Donna sells some fabric handmade journals she calls inspiration journal. She creates in there everything that helps her being inspired. I love it. She also recorded a lesson where she teaches how to create these journals ourselves. That’s how I learned.

Recently, I acquired Tchoo, my sewing machine. I love her very much but she’s not my BFF yet, she’s not that easy peasy.

So I created my first Inspiration Journal. Yaaaay !

It was sometimes hard, for example to pull back the fabric+canvas sewn together to be the right side out because my canvas is very stiff. I have to find a way for it to be more movable. Any ideas ?
And I had to do with what I had on hands: my grommets were too big so I used simple eylets, I wasn’t able to use ribbon so I used thread. That’s okay, I like it like that. And I didn’t find any fabric covered button, I bought some beautiful ones instead.

My sewing is not the best yet, it’s zig-zagging here and there. The corners of the journal are kind of weird too.
So what ? I love it ! I have imperfections too.

I’ll don’t let the canvas inside blank. I don’t know if I’ll paint it, or play with my new obsession (the Lindy Stamp Gang products).

I’ll finish my current art journal and then start this one. i love the fact I can add signatures as needed. It has inclusions. It will be awesoooooom !

In the next one, I want to try to create a loop for my pen; and another closure like a flap.

So many ideas I want to experiment; this is good.

For about a week, I’m kind of obliged to rest for several reasons (nothing important though). I must admit that being in this atypical state where sleepless nights go from one to another to another without seeing the end of it are quite harsh on me (no, I’m absolutely not pregnant, in case you are wondering). I know it’s just temporary and that I just need to take care of my body and of my soul, but please Dear Universe, give me some energy, some sleep, my younger daughter is killing me and my patience is at a point where I just wish I’d be alone so she’ll stop yelling at me because she does not get things from me as soon as she asks for them.

This week, I am more than thankful for Doctor P. who is nice and accepted to keep being our family physician. Long story short our former doc left for the US last summer, we should have found someone outside the medical office she worked in but yesterday the secretary who was at first very cold with me explaining I shouldn’t be here and have to find somewhere else finally told me “you don’t come often, maybe you could still come here with your family, talk about it with Doctor P. (who I was meeting for the first time, having an unexpected appointment with). So yes, we have a family doctor, she’s kind and the girls won’t get too lost (we LOVED our former doctor…). It’s my miracle for this week, because it was a subject that caused kind of a lot of stress for me.

Thank you because this week was my Christmas (thank you to my Half for letting me spend some money, it will be well used).
I received my sewing machine, it’s a Brother CE5000; this is fantastic and I am befriending her. First project ? An Inspiration Journal à la Donna Downey.
I also received the two books I ordered on Amazon France (the novel one is available in French despite the fact that the original edition in english will hit the stores only in April 2011 ! i don’t get it but I’m thankful to speak and understand both so I don’t have to wait to read this book I was waiting for).
I received the awesome products by the brand Lindy Stamp Gang, my new obsession. I’m thankful they got two huuuuuge sales in the past week, so I was able to buy more. I’ll talk to you more about it, for sure. it’s even better than Glimmer Mists (yes, it is !!).
Last but not least, I received a few minutes ago one of the book to read for review from Hay House, the perfect one needed right now. Can’t wait to tell you more about it. Still 2 books lost somewhere though…
A lot of fun and creation to come. My Trollettes (daughters) already put some comissions in my basket, I should keep it going and learn fast 😀

Thank you to my Chéridoo (husband) because he took some time to help me set Tchoo (our sewing maching). His help is precious.

Thank you for my Sisters in the Circe’s Circle for the love they sent me yesterday, when I had to hang up during our weekly call because i was about to collapse of exhaustion in all areas possible.

Thank you Anu for all the awesome ideas she gives me to go further in my art, for her support and her friendship.

Thanks a lot to Wioleta, who works at Hay House. I had a problem (books she sent me never arrived) and she fixed it by sending everything a second time. I hope it’ll arrive soon, safe and sound. I can’t wait to read everything and share it with you here.
