At the beginning of the week, my husband (who I refer to as “Cheridoo”) and I celebrated our 7th dating anniversary. I can’t believe it’s already but only been seven years together. It paradoxically feels like yesterday but an eternity too. Do you know this feeling ?
I had a precise idea in mind, but Life got crazy and I didn’t manage to save the time I needed to complete my project, so at the last minute I created something totally different (I save my first idea for another occasion ;-)).
You have to know that I.AM.NOT.A.SCRAPBOOKER. I sometimes wish I would be, but I am not and deal with it.
Yes, it is quite simple but I love it all the same and apparently so does Cheridoo, so this is all that matters to me.
I played on a loose canvas sheet from a canvas pad I had, with fluid acrylic paint, Lindy Stamp Gang‘s beautiful sprays, a printed translucent velum paper and Tchoo my sewing machine.
I enjoyed every step of the creating process, from the sparkle of idea to the moment I actually gave it to my lover. I created it with the intention of showing him how much I love him and how important he is to me. What we share together is a precious gift, and we never doubted our feelings for each other for one second during these 7 years, this is a true blessing.
Hello Nolwenn. Don’t know if you’ll remember me from the first Petit Doll class with Suzi, way “back in the day”. I’m sure we’ve taken other classes together as well. I stumbled on your blog in a roundabout way while looking for info on Jesse Reno’s latest book. I REALLY enjoyed reading of your painting adventure with Jesse. That is just the coolest. So glad you had that opportunity. I wish for the same one day. Anyway…saw this latest post and wanted to wish you a Happy 7th. Sounds like you’ve got a good one there! Love the page…the imagery and the sentiment. “You see my hidden wings”….so very sweet! Sincerest wishes for many more happy days together. ♥ Artistickitty
