This week was quite an easy process. This is crazy amazing when I succeed in shutting my mind for a while and just go with the flow.

This Art Journaling spread is busier than what I usually do, and like, but eh… I’m loving it anyway !

I am still working my way in my Dylusions Journal. It is getting fat and colorful from the inside (the elastic closure was a nice addition for sure).

I simply used what I love the most: sprays, stencils, paint and stamps. I also used some Sharpie paint markers and oil pastels (if you want, I can create a list of the supplies I used). I did not go crazy fancy, and quite stayed in my comfort zone. I did what makes me happy I guess…

I told you I was obsessed with geometric shapes, you can spot a small triangle clutter at the bottom of the page, for who knows what reason it resonated with my message of following your Purpose.
And this hexagon stamp by Hero Arts for Studio Calico. Always.

«Follow the Whispers» is something that is at the core of what I do. Intuitive creations. Following what comes, letting the images that emerge do their thing, just being the hand in all of this. I am just the messenger, from the Universe (or whatever you call It) to you who read this and discover what I do.
It took me time to accept all that, but right now, I am just in full acceptance mode 🙂

Texture my love… it’s everywhere. From the leftover hearts from our Valentine’s day cards session to the beautiful arrows made with a stencil and gel medium. I am in Texture heaven !!

Yea, I am an obsessive person. Not the compulsive obsessive type though.

My obsessions come and go. And sometimes come back later. Some will have a very short life with me, but others seem to stick around.

Geometric patterns (especially triangles)

Constellations

I guess that the two aboves are intimately linked together in a greater picture: symbolism. There is something about Geometry (like Sacred Geometry) that triggers in me. Golden ration, sacred numbers, shapes, totem animals… for me it is all part of an Whole. And it’s always had a special place in my life.

Self-Portraiture

Self-Portraiture has a HUGE place in my Spiritual practice, and in my personal growth.
It allows me to embrace who I am. To snap myself in a moment. To focus on how I feel in my body. To reflect it on a photo.
And a self-portrait can be so much MORE than a photo of a face. Really…

Soft color palettes

I usually paint in quite a bold palette of colors. But it’s been some time now that I am really attracted to softer, duller colors.
It is hard to get out of my comfort and go-to colors though (you know… the ones you pick without even really thinking, just because you love them so much and use them over and over… yup, these ones).

I am working hard on keeping these obsessions in control 😉

This week actually flew by. Sort of. I am happy it is Friday. We took the girls out of school for the day and my husband had the green light to take a vacation day (boo) so we could all go to doctor appointments (cross your fingers as Koala needs a shot and she kept saying «I don’t wanna go» all week…).

This week, I’m thankful for:

• This feeling of «it makes sense right now».
• The long way and how I’ve positively changed in the last 10 years.
• Being able to be there for friends who need someone to listen.
• My Gelli plate.
• Rice with furikake and veggies and tori soboro. My kind of comfort food for lunch (wish I had avocado).
• Our KeenSpirits gathering.
• Mindy and my True Free Spirit classmates.
• Sleep.
• My mom.
• People sharing their gift(s) with the World.
• Honesty.
• Truth sharing.
• Seeds of dream(s) being planted.

It all began with this video that Mindy recorded and shared.
It inspired Susie Lafond to create a swap in our Facebook class group. I did not follow well enough and unfortunately, I missed it. I was so sad about it, that two friends in the group offered to swap with me anyway. So this is for them 🙂

I did paint on cardboard before. this is kinda a nasty surface because of the way media react to it. It is hard to paint and blend with my fingers as I am used to. However, I love challenges, and this was a great one for sure !

Not sure if I love them. Do they reflect my style ? not sure either. But they were made with love, that I am certain of.
It was out of my comfort zone and I guess you can see it in the video. But that’s ok.

Sometimes in the process, everything does not go according to what you were expected in the first place. And you have to adjust. To go with it anyway. I think this is what makes me love doing what I do so much: what feels like a mistake on the moment can be covered up, changed, modified…

Even after a few years, I am still learning to let go of what I think should look like perfection (my sense of perfection is probably different than yours, that’s ok). It is always a learning curve, not only on a creative point of view. I learn so much about myself when I paint.

One of my guiding Truths: Intention IS Everything. It is. In France, we have a saying that states: «It’s the intention that matters» (you can debate that into a philosophical debate, like «yes but even if you have good intentions regarding something, if the way you choose to actually get there is shady *or worse*, then is the intention what really matters in the first place ?) but that is not what it is about here.

In my Spiritual life, and for example as a Practical Reiki Master (a different branch of Reiki than the most known Usui original one), everything begins with an intention. Intention is like the seed from what everything else will grow from.

Intention is linked to visualization, both combined into what will help me to figure out what the action needed to get what I want is,
With years and experience, I noticed that yes, wishful thinking alone is powerless (maybe for now, but this is my current Truth).
