Welcome on a new edition of my weekly ritual, Gratitude Friday (if you are not familiar with it, please go read how it came up and what it is about).
My girls are still not at school, we will start the 5th week of teachers’ strike and the light at the end of this tunnel is nowhere to be seen (I kindly invite you, if you feel called to, send some positive energy so it resolve as soon as possible), so not a lot of art is being made right now and I miss it like crazy !
In this whirlwind, I take this time just for me, and writing it here helps on where I put my focus, where I put my energy.
This week, I am thankful for:
- Sunshine
- Sisterhood
- Time on the phone with my bro Thomas
- My husband, and his love and help
- Smoothies for dinner
- The tv show Grimm
- Help
- All the sushi and agedashi tofu I have had in the past three weeks
- White sage, magical oils, and gemstones
- Wearing my wedding rings again at my fingers (lost a lot of weight, they were slipping, so I have been wearing them around a chain for months)
Elles sont jolies tes pierres ^^

I love this.
I need to think about being grateful. I was just having a conversation about this yesterday. The importance of being grateful for everything. The media encourages us to be dissatisfied with what we have. We are not thin enough, not curvy enough, not young enough, not rich enough, not fashionable enough… and the things they sell will never bring us the gratefulness we crave. It has to come from within.
I am grateful for life. I am grateful for amazing friends – like Nolwenn – that teach me to be grateful for the little things. I am grateful that we have clean air to breath. Food to eat. Safe, warm place to live now that the weather is getting cooler. Grateful for the change of seasons. Grateful for the opportunity in my corner of the world to make the world a better place and a job that allows me to empower people and show them that we are all equal. We are all amazing and beautiful in our own way.
Thank you for inspiring me this morning!
